The first draw was the Civil Servant Aweruke promotion, where three winners received MK250,000 each.

The Aweruke Promotion is open to all Civil Servants who are 18 years old and above and are bonafied Malawian citizens and it will run until July 31 this year.

The second draw, Switch to Afana Ophusha, saw 20 students winning MK20,000 in pocket money each, five receiving FCB Nyasa Big Bullets jerseys, and one taking home MK1 million.

First Capital Bank (FCB) has introduced a new promotion aimed at attracting students, dubbed “Switch to Afana Ophusha.”

The initiative was launched at the Malawi University of Business and Applied Science (MUBAS), offers grand prizes of K1 million to one student winner every month aims to create five millionaire students within five months from May to October this year.

The third draw, Makwacha a Mlimi, a promotion which aims to empower the farmers in the country, awarded six farmers MK100,000 each, while ten others won Makwacha T-shirts.

In an interview, FCB’s Head of Marketing, Twikale Chirwa, expressed the bank’s commitment to supporting people’s dreams as part of its core philosophy.

Said Chirwa: “We have invested significantly in these promotions to help people achieve their dreams.

He added: “We are pleased with the high number of entries, as many customers are participating. We believe this will help the promotions achieve their goal of improving people’s living standards.”
