One of Malawi’s renowned home-grown business conglomerate Mulli Brothers Limited (MBL) has taken a huge step towards becoming an international institution of repute in the global financial space by appointing a highly regarded business executive to steer the company forward and upwards.

In its quest to acquire global excellence, MBL Holdings Limited has announced a respectable business connoisseur, David Alexander Reynolds as its top boss.

MBL founder and business tycoon Leston Mulli, who was the company’s managing director ((MD) but is now the company’s Executive Chairperson, unveiled Reynolds at a press briefing held Saturday morning at Group’s Head Office in Chigumula, in Malawi’s commercial city, Blantyre.

Speaking during the unveiling ceremony Mulli who is popularly known as ‘Captain G’ said Mr. Reynolds is a man of great vision and superative business acumen and the right guy to take the Group to greater international heights.  

Said Mulli: “Mr. Reynolds is one of the topnotch Chief Executives in the world with over 25 years of experience. He has worked in various companies all over the world.”

“He brings vast experience to our business and I expect the Mulli Brothers Limited Group of Companies to grow beyond what we are now,” added Mulli.

Mulli, explaining on his new role as Group’s Executive Chairperson, he divulged that he will now be based in Dubai, where he will be focusing on African investment, which he described as “untapped gold”.

Reynolds, on his part, said his first task will be to identify and mentor correct team members to work with to take the organisation forward.

“I believe in teamwork and I would love to get everyone on board and be on the same page. As they say, there is strength in unity and together we will achieve greatness,” said Reynolds.

Reynolds, an experienced Chief Executive Officer with over twenty five years of working experience, is a holder of Bachelors of Science Degree in Agriculture with honors from the University of Edinburgh in Scotland.

Before joining MBL, Reynolds worked with various multinational companies from different countries including United Kingdom, United States of America, South Africa, Kenya, Zambia, Senegal, Ivory Coast, Nigeria and Tanzania.

MBL Holdings Limited, which employees over 5000 Malawians, has business in food retailers, tea retailers, farming, agriculture, books, hardware stores, tourist information, and travel agents among others.

MBL Holdings Limited owns Chombe Foods Limited, Mulli Brothers Limited and National Bus Company, among other ventures.
