Sky Energy Africa, a leading continental tech-driven innovative clean energy organisation, which offers unique and customised energy solutions, has sponsored the afro-hip-hop musician Gwamba’s upcoming concert to the tune of K20 million. 

Malawi’s award-winning rapper and songwriter, Gwamba, whose real name is Duncan Zgambo, is organising a music concert dubbed ‘the best of Gwamba,’ which is billed to be the big thing and will include international acts.

Sky Energy Africa Malawi chapter operations manager, Kondwani Tchereni, said: “We aim at using entertainment and the arts to promote renewable energy and environmental conservation.”

Tchereni is hopeful that Gwamba’s popularity and ability to inspire people will compel masses to take action towards a greener and more sustainable world.

“Gwamba is one of the biggest artist in Malawi and we believe his influence is critical to inspire the young generation to take part in sustaining the environment,” Tcheleni said.

The Mbama hitmaker, Gwamba, hailed Sky Energy Africa for supporting his concert, scheduled for September 21 at Civo Stadium in Lilongwe to commemorate his 15 years of consistent contribution to the country’s music industry.

Said Gwamba. “Thank you Sky Energy Africa for your generous sponsorship of 20 Million Kwacha towards my upcoming Best of Gwamba concert.”

“Thank you for believing in Malawian art,” he added.

The rapper who is popularly known as Landlord said the partnership provides him with a platform to advocate for the adoption of sustainable and clean energy.

Said Gwamba: “Together, through the power of music and your commitment to sustainability, we can inspire positive change and a brighter future for Malawi and beyond.”
