Dr. Triephornia emphasized the importance of supporting charitable causes.

Mrs. Mpinganjira said: “Let’s join hands when it comes to charity works in Malawi. Together we can make an impact.”

” We are proud to be part of this event this year, and we pledge our support to Red Cross work beyond this week” she added.

Malawi Red Cross Society President Innocent Majiya thanked the Mpinganjira family, who donated K12.5 million through Ekhaya Group and Diplomats Car Rentals, Umodzi Park who donated K6 million and the Republican Vice President who donated K1.5million and all well-wishers for the cause.

The MRCS aims to raise K160 million for disaster response efforts in the country, and the Mpinganjira family donation is a significant boost to the fundraising drive.

The Malawi Police Service have also made contributions towards the cause.

Majiya applauded the cycling participants and the donors for their unequaled gesture of goodwill.

“We appreciate the positive response towards our fundraising drive and call upon other well-wishers to support the cause,” Majiya said.

The funds raised will support disaster response efforts in Malawi, helping those affected by various challenges in the country.
