Battle-hardened Moyale Barracks and ambitious Karonga United Football Club have cruised through to the semi-finals of the prestigious FDH Bank Cup after their respective exciting quarter-final victories over MAFCO FC and Lube Masters.

Karonga United secured a 2-1 win at Chitowe Stadium, with Blessings Mwalilino scoring a brace.

Auspicious Kadzongolo netted a consolation goal for MAFCO.

On the other hand, the Pritchard Mwansa boys, Moyale Barracks triumphed with a 2-1 victory at their backyard, Mzuzu Stadium, courtesy of goals from Emmanuel Allan and Luke Chima.

Raffick Kabwazi scored the lone consolation goal for the visotors Lube Masters.

The Moyale pep talk way.

In an interview after the match, an elated Moyale Barracks coach Pritchard Mwansa said: “It was a tough game but the boys had put up a good shift to emerge victors.”

“We now look forward to the next challenge and we will give it our all to get the best out it. I am proud of the players,” added Mwansa.

Karonga United will face the winner of the match between Baka City and Blue Eagles FC, scheduled for Sunday at Karonga Stadium.

Meanwhile, Moyale Barracks will await the outcome of the match between defending champions FCB Nyasa Big Bullets and Civil Service United.

“We now look forward to the next challenge and We will give it our all.”
