As Malawi accelerates its digital transformation, the Malawi Communications Regulation Authority (MACRA) has commissioned a three-month consultancy ( Internet Stewarts ) to review the management of the country’s .mw ccTLD.
The .mw ccTLD is a critical national asset that underpins our digital infrastructure and online presence.
It is a core component of Malawi’s digital identity, enabling our businesses, government, and citizens to establish a trusted online presence and connect with the global digital economy.
MACRA Director General Daud Suleman, therefore, said calling upon all relevant stakeholders to participate in these consultations and help shape the future governance of this key resource.
“Your input will be crucial in ensuring transparent, accountable, and inclusive management that supports Malawi’s digital transformation,” said Suleman.
MACRA aims to bring the .mw ccTLD under its regulatory scope, in line with the Electronic Transactions and Cybersecurity Act.
